The Recovery School District has launched a citywide enrollment system for direct-run and charter schools for the 2012-2013 School Year as part of our plan to ensure Excellence, Equity, and Community for students and families in New Orleans.

 

This process will be easier for families to navigate and will ensure that as many students as possible get into their top choice school. Click the following link for an overview:

If you would like additional information or have any questions about the new enrollment system, please visit one of the RSD Family Centers or call (877) 343-4773.  The family centers are open weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and are located at:

 

•Sarah T. Reed High School, 5316 Michoud Blvd.

•L.B. Landry High School, 1200 L.B. Landry Ave.

•Walter L. Cohen High School, 3520 Dryades St.

•George W. Carver Elementary School, 3059 Higgins Blvd. (Enter on Almonaster Boulevard).

Why volunteer?

Volunteering with the RSD in New Orleans can be an incredible experience for individuals and groups. Volunteers have included those from the New Orleans area and individuals and groups from around the world. Individuals, corporate groups, religious organizations and volunteer organizations such as AmeriCorps, HandsOn, Katrina Corps and KaBOOM!  all have lent a hand.
