Jan. 24: Cowen Institute Survey Shows N.O. Parents See Improvement in Public Schools

Parents think schools are better now than they were before Hurrican Katrina.
Tulane’s Cowen Institute for Public Education Initiatives recently surveyed New Orleans parents about recent public education reforms and the future direction of public schools in New Orleans. Overall, the opinion poll found that 66 percent of parents surveyed in 2011 thought that schools are better after Hurricane Katrina, compared to 31 percent of parents surveyed in 2009.
