Free tutoring available for your child!
Under the new Title I, Part A of the No Child Left Behind Act (Elementary and Secondary Education Act – ESEA), students from low-income families attending schools that do not make adequate yearly progress for three consecutive years may receive supplemental education services. In the RSD, 8771 students are eligible to receive Supplemental Educational Services. Parents choose a service provider for their children from among the providers approved by the State for their school district.
Two sessions will be offered. The Fall session begins Nov. 30, 2009, and the application period is Nov. 10-16. The Spring session will begin Feb. 9, 2010, and the application period will be Jan. 6 to Jan. 22.

2009 Supplemental Education Services Providers List
View list of programs approved by the Louisiana Board of Elementary and Secondary Education. These programs will provide your child with tutoring that is coordinated with what is being taught in school.
