Nothing we can do for students matters more than giving them excellent teachers and school leaders. That starts with a common vision of instructional and leadership excellence and the right development and evaluation tools to support that vision.

Fair and accurate evaluation is a critical part of developing teachers to reach their instructional best. RSD Pathways, the Recovery School District’s next-generation teacher evaluation and development system, will help put teachers and instructional leaders on a new path to instructional excellence.

What’s the Timeline? | All RSD schools began using RSD Pathways in the 2010-2011 school year. Principals and school leadership teams have been trained on the new evaluation system and will receive ongoing support throughout the school year to ensure that they are allocating the time and resources necessary to identify areas of needed improvement for teachers, create the structures for teachers to learn together and receive useful feedback, and create school cultures that retain and support effective teachers. We will collect feedback from teachers in the fall and in the spring.
